MNIT DCT

team provides essential IT support for a wide range of healthcare services, including mental health, substance abuse treatment, and support for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that the technology needs of DCT are met, enabling them to deliver high-quality care and treatment services to Minnesotans in need. Job Summary As an IT Governance Coordinator, you will support Direct Care and Treatment's (DCT) technology strategy by coordinating IT governance activities for the agency's technology portfolio. You will help establish and maintain governance processes that support consistent evaluation, prioritization, and oversight of technology initiatives while ensuring alignment with Minnesota IT Services (MNIT) standards and DCT strategic priorities. In this role, you will coordinate the intake and business case process for proposed technology initiatives, manage prioritization and scoring activities, maintain visibility into the portfolio of approved initiatives, and provide reporting and decision-support information to leadership and governance groups. You will work closely with DCT and MNIT business and technology partners to facilitate governance discussions, communicate decisions and next steps, identify risks and barriers, and promote transparency across the technology initiative portfolio. This position requires an employee to work onsite at 3200 Labore Road, Vadnais Heights, Minnesota at least 50% [or more or less if space limitations remain] of the time, with limited telework available.

Telework eligibility depends on residence:

Candidates living in Minnesota or within 50 miles of the worksite in a bordering state (Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin) may telework up to 50%. Minnesota residents living more than 50 miles from the worksite may be eligible to telework more than 50%. Candidates living 50 miles or more from the worksite in a bordering state may work onsite 100% or may be telework eligible if relocating within 50 miles. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications To qualify, candidates must clearly show all of the following qualifications in their resume. Resume tips available here : Position requires a minimum of four (4) years of IT related experience in IT governance, IT portfolio management, and/or IT business analysis.

Experience must include:

Developing, coordinating, or supporting IT governance processes, including the intake, evaluation, prioritization, and/or approval of technology initiatives. Developing or evaluating business cases, requirements, or other decision-support materials for technology initiatives. Managing or supporting IT portfolio activities, including tracking initiatives, identifying risks or issues, and providing status reporting. Analyzing and synthesizing business, technical, financial, risk, and/or strategic information to support technology decisions. Facilitating discussions with business and technical stakeholders to establish priorities, resolve issues, and support informed decision-making. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a manner that facilitates mutual understanding. Customer-focused approach grounded in active listening, empathy, and solution-oriented problem-solving to deliver positive user experiences. Education in Information Technology (IT) or an IT related field may substitute for experience as follows: a master's degree for eighteen (18) months of experience; a bachelor's degree for one (1) year; and an associate's degree for six (6) months. Strongly Preferred Qualifications Experience establishing, developing, or improving IT governance frameworks, processes, and decision-making structures. Experience with IT portfolio management, including initiative prioritization, scoring methodologies, portfolio reporting, and/or executive-level decision support. Experience developing and presenting business cases, recommendations, dashboards, or other decision-support materials to leadership or governance bodies. Experience facilitating cross-functional governance groups involving business leaders, technical teams, and other stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience with MNIT or other public-sector IT governance processes, standards, and budget practices. Knowledge of IT architecture, information security, accessibility, and compliance requirements and how they inform technology governance decisions. Experience working in a large, complex IT environment with multiple business areas, technology teams, and competing priorities.
