27Aug26 Systems Analyst - System Requirements, Documentation & Design Position Summary Seeking a detail-oriented and communicative Systems Analyst to join our growing IT team. In this role, you will act as the vital bridge between our business stakeholders and technical engineering teams. Your primary focus will be translating complex business needs into precise system requirements, creating technical blueprints, and maintaining rigorous documentation to guide software development and workflow design. Must excel at active listening, enjoy solving intricate workflow puzzles, and can write clear, actionable functional specifications.
Key Responsibilities Requirements Gathering:
Lead discovery sessions with business leaders, end-users, and product managers to elicit, analyze, and validate core system requirements.
System & Workflow Design:
Technical design elements including architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams (DFDs), and user interaction flows.
Documentation Management:
Write comprehensive System Requirements Specifications (SRS), functional specs, user manuals, and process mapping documentation that developers can seamlessly execute.
Testing & Quality Validation:
Partner with QA teams to develop test cases, verify software builds against original business requirements, and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Cross-Functional Communication:
Simplify complex technical constraints for non-technical leadership while effectively advocating for business goals within engineering sprints.
Required Skills and Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a closely related field.
Experience:
2 to 5 years of proven experience in IT systems analysis, software testing, or technical business process mapping.
Technical Proficiency:
Hands-on experience mapping architectures with UML or data flow diagrams. Strong working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and verification. Practical experience utilizing Agile project management tools.
Core Competencies:
Exceptional technical writing capabilities, strong problem-solving skills, and a collaborative, non-judgmental approach to cross-team communication. Preferred Qualifications Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Certified Business Analysis Professional - CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Scrum Master certification). Familiarity with cloud architecture environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
