Job duties include:

Direct implementation, optimization, and administration of AthenaHealth EHR workflows, including Athena Marketplace integrations, custom clinical documentation templates, automation scripts, and third-party applications; Development of custom, real-time dashboards utilizing Enli, ForwardHealthGroup, and Tableau for patient outcome tracking, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives; Construction of automated ETL pipelines, SQL queries, and scripting solutions to support cross-platform data exchange between Athena, Cerner, and other EMR systems; System Administration responsibilities: Windows Server management, network troubleshooting, VPN configuration, and Active Directory oversight, with a focus on ensuring secure and reliable access to clinical data; Preparation of audit-ready compliance reports and proactive development of risk management indicators to meet HIPAA and healthcare performance standards; Hands-on integration and troubleshooting of multi-HER datasets to ensure consistency and accuracy across platforms; Training and supporting healthcare providers in adopting new EHR features, analytics dashboards, and workflow improvements, bridging the gap between IT and clinical staff; Collaborating across clinical and IT departments to translate technical outcomes into measurable improvements in patient safety, care quality, and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Informatics, Health IT, or a closely related field and at least 2 years of experience as an Analyst or System Admin working with EHR systems, including AthenaHealth. Requires understanding of healthcare data environments, systems automation, and cross-platform integration as demonstrated through the following skills: SQL and Python for Clinical Data Analysis and Automation; Experience building ETL pipelines and scripting for healthcare datasets; PowerBI and Tableau for healthcare-specific data visualization and regulatory reporting; Apple environment troubleshooting and administration, Active Directory, VPN, and network troubleshooting in healthcare environments; AthenaHealth EHR and Athena Marketplace integration; Training healthcare providers and clinical end-users; and Working with third-party vendors and creating RFPs and project management for IT implementation.
