Overview The IT Intern will gain comprehensive, hands-on experience by rotating through all key areas of the Information Technology department-including Analytics, Support Services, Applications, Project Services, Network Services, Infrastructure, Architecture & Data, and Security. This rotational structure provides a well-rounded understanding of how technology supports and drives business operations across the organization. Working closely with IT professionals and mentors, the intern will assist with both day-to-day technical operations and strategic projects, gaining exposure to system support, software development, network management, cybersecurity, and IT project management. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented student to apply academic knowledge in a professional environment and explore various IT career paths. Key Responsibilities Participate in a structured rotation through each IT function to gain insight into each area's role and responsibilities and assist with ongoing projects.
Support ongoing IT initiatives by assisting with troubleshooting, maintenance, and implementation of hardware, software, and network systems.
Develop an understanding of the Ben E. Keith business and the role IT plays in the success of our business.
Collaborate with other interns on an end-to-end technology project with real business impact.
Consult with mentors and subject matter experts to resolve technical issues and enhance learning.
Tour company facilities to understand how IT enables operations across the organization.
Attend professional development workshops and team-building activities.
Present the final project and learnings to senior leadership at the conclusion of the program. Education and Experience Requirements Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Must be a rising senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Strong communication skills-both written and verbal.
Ability to collaborate effectively with peers, mentors, and leaders across the organization.
