Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Senior IT Consultant for a direct hire opportunity in Santa Barbara, CA. This role is ideal for an experienced IT professional who enjoys combining hands-on technical expertise with strategic technology leadership. As a Senior IT Consultant, you will partner with leadership teams to assess business needs, improve IT infrastructure, strengthen cybersecurity practices, and lead enterprise technology initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to influence technology strategy, support modernization efforts, and help create scalable systems that improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.   • Evaluate existing IT systems, infrastructure, and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and modernization.
  • Lead cloud migrations, system implementations, infrastructure upgrades, and other enterprise technology projects.
  • Design and deploy secure, scalable technology solutions aligned with business goals and operational needs.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex IT issues and provide advanced technical support across systems, networks, and infrastructure.
  • Develop IT policies, technical documentation, cybersecurity best practices, reports, and leadership recommendations.
  • Manage vendor relationships, third-party technology services, and support knowledge sharing across IT teams. Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary:
    $80,000 to $100,000 per year.

  • Location:
    Santa Barbara, CA. Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Lead enterprise technology projects, including cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and system implementations.
  • Assess IT environments and recommend scalable solutions that improve security, performance, and efficiency.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical escalation support for complex IT issues.
  • Support IT policy development, cybersecurity standards, risk assessments, and vendor management.
  • 7+ years of IT experience in infrastructure, networking, systems administration, or consulting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with virtualization, cybersecurity, networking, systems administration, and enterprise IT environments.
  • Proven ability to lead technology initiatives and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to mentor IT personnel and promote knowledge sharing across teams. Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, PMP, ITIL, Microsoft, or AWS.
  • Experience with strategic IT planning and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Advanced networking, firewall, and endpoint security expertise.
  • Experience supporting enterprise or multi-site environments.
