This position is responsible for providing end-user technical support, coordinating technology resources, managing technology assets, and delivering training that enables faculty, staff, and administrators to confidently utilize digital tools in support of the Institute's mission. Rather than managing complex network infrastructure, the Technology Learning Coordinator focuses on enhancing the user experience by troubleshooting hardware and software issues, coordinating technology implementations, supporting educational technologies, and promoting the effective integration of technology across all Institute programs. The position serves as the primary liaison with the Institute's external Managed Service Provider (MSP), software vendors, and technology partners, ensuring technology services remain reliable, secure, and aligned with organizational goals while serving as the first point of contact for technology-related support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Technology System Support Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, printers, projectors, and other technology equipment used throughout the organization. Provide technical support to staff for hardware, software, and system-related issues. Maintain and monitor the organization's network systems, internet connectivity, and Wi-Fi access. Ensure that technology equipment and systems function properly to support daily instructional and administrative operations. Coordinate technology repairs, upgrades, and maintenance with external technology vendors when necessary. Respond promptly to technical support requests and resolve issues efficiently. Educational Technology Support Support educational staff in the effective use of instructional technology tools and digital learning platforms. Assist with the implementation, setup, and troubleshooting of educational software and classroom technology. Support the operation and maintenance of classroom technology including projectors, smart boards, and audio-visual equipment. Provide guidance to educational staff on best practices for using technology to enhance teaching and learning. Support educational and administrative staff with AI and Cybersecurity awareness. Technology Training and Professional Development Develop, coordinate, and manage employee training related to technology systems and digital tools used by the organization. Monitor staff use of technology to ensure compliance with organization technology policies and cybersecurity practices. Provide onboarding technology orientation for new employees, responsibilities include: o• _ Prepare and configure computers, communication systems and security access to the building prior the employee start dates•_ o Configure Email and calendar access o Install required software and applications o Configure printers and classroom technology o Use of AI according to the organization policies o Cybersecurity awareness o Introduce employees to Institute technology standards and workflows o Ensure departing employees are properly offboarded and accounts secured Provide training and guidance for staff on the effective and responsible use of: o Internet resources o Email communication systems o Educational platforms and learning management systems o Digital collaboration tools Social media platforms used for communication Digital Communication System Support the management, configuration, and functionality of the organization's email systems. Assist with the maintenance and use of digital communication platforms used across the organization. Provide technical support related to internal communication systems and collaboration tools. Provide guidance regarding the appropriate and responsible use of social media platforms for communication. Cybersecurity and Data Protection Promote safe, responsible, and ethical use of technology across the organization. Assist in maintaining cybersecurity protocols and protecting confidential information and digital systems. Support the implementation of data protection practices to safeguard student, employee, and organizational information. Ensure staff follow cybersecurity best practices related to password security, internet usage, social media, and digital communication. Technology Inventory and Equipment Management Maintain accurate inventory records for all technology equipment and devices. Coordinate the setup, configuration, and deployment of new technology devices for staff. Monitor the condition, maintenance, and lifecycle of school technology equipment. Assist in planning for technology upgrades and replacements. Technology Policy Compliance Support the implementation and enforcement of organization technology policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with organizational guidelines regarding: o Internet usage o Digital communication o Technology access and device management o AI o Cybersecurity o Firewall management o System security Assist staff with monitoring compliance with technology-related standards and procedures. Collaboration and Operational Support Work collaboratively with educational staff to improve technology integration in classrooms. Provide technical support for organization meetings, events, training sessions, and presentations requiring technology or audio-visual equipment. Assist with the planning and implementation of new technology initiatives that support the mission of the organization. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications. Experience with Microsoft Office 365, and educational technology platforms . Understanding of basic networking concepts and Wi-Fi systems . Strong knowledge of AI productivity tools Ability to troubleshoot technical problems quickly and effectively. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to explain technology in clear, non-technical language. Communicate with children in a supportive, age appropriate manners. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with faculty, administration, and external partners. Proactive problem-solving and decision-making under pressure. Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Professional integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
