Hands-on technical analyst responsible for solving open-ended data problems, uncovering insights, and supporting data-driven initiatives through strong SQL, critical thinking, and versatile analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
Investigate data sources, anomalies, and complex data questions. Perform open-ended analysis to understand user behavior, membership activity, benefits, and engagement. Write SQL queries independently to extract, manipulate, and analyze data. Build dashboards and translate data into actionable business insights. Support operational and analytical data needs for a major membership program. Contribute to new software and data-focused development initiatives. Take ambiguous requests, identify the underlying problem, and independently determine next steps. Ask thoughtful questions, challenge assumptions, and recommend solutions. Work across analytics and data engineering needs rather than focusing on a single function. Collaborate in real time with a small, highly interactive team on dynamic projects.
Required Qualifications:
3-5 years of hands-on technical data/analytics experience. Expert-level SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries quickly and independently. Strong technical foundation beyond traditional business analysis. Experience building dashboards and performing data analysis. Ability to read and understand Python code. Exceptional critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to take ambiguous, open-ended problems and independently drive them toward solutions. Resourceful and versatile approach with the ability to wear multiple hats. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Scrappy, hands-on execution style with a desire to learn and grow.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on Databricks experience, including SQL, Python, dashboards, pipelines, or related functionality. Bachelor's degree. Experience in entertainment, live events, music, sports, streaming, or an adjacent industry. Genuine interest in music, live entertainment, or sports.
