Position works closely with the organization on current system change or enhancement requests and or the implementation of new systems. Position is responsible for the creation of requirements and project management for these system changes and or system implementations. Has responsibility for all aspects of project over the entire project life (intake, planning, requirements gathering, design, development, UAT, implementation and closure). Typically manages large, complex and significant projects.Job Responsibilities:
- Define new methods and procedures.
- Mentor more junior Delivery Analysts.
- Develop and establish templates used by others in the organization.
- Proactively develop detailed risk mitigation plans/strategies that significantly mitigate risk.
- Determine and define project scope and objectives.
- Develop a solid understanding of the current processes used by the business today and document the present method of operations (PMO) as the baseline for process improvements.
- Define and document the future method of operations (FMO) by working closely with the customer care groups, determining their needs, and designing processes to optimize their performance.
- Create detailed business requirements for all software changes, enhancements or implementations that are needed to support the new business processes. These requirements will be given to software developers to implement.
- Develop and manage a detailed project plans.
- Manage resources in an effective and efficient manner needed to reach project objectives and timelines.
- Track project costs in order to meet budget.
- Manage contracts/SOW's (Statements of Work) with vendors by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
- Provide project updates on standard basis to various stakeholders project progress, risks and opportunities.
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques and standards throughout entire project execution.
- Measure project performance to identify areas of improvement (lessons learned).
- Act as a primary liaison between internal customers and the IT Department.
Qualification Requirements:
Education:
Four Year Degree in Computer Science, Business or related field is required. Master's Degree is preferred.Experience Level:
7-10 years of IT experience is required. 7-10 years of project management experience is required with a proven track record of project management success meeting project timelines and managing project costs to budget. 7-10 years of Telecommunications experience is preferred.Job Skills & Knowledge:
Skill Requirements:
- Project Management Methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.
Knowledge of:
- Microsoft Office Suite
Microsoft Project Certifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is strongly preferred.
