Job Description
Location:
Main Hospital Bldg- 1st Flr Primary Purpose Responsible for installation, modification, repair and troubleshooting of voice and data telecommunications systems for Parkland to ensure telecommunication activities meet customer needs.
MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS
Education- High School Diploma or Equivalent. Experience
- Must have five (5) years of telecommunications experience in wiring, cabling, repair, and installation of voice and data telecommunications systems to include at least two years of on-the-job technical training. Equivalent Education and/or Experience
- May have an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in lieu of specific education and/or experience as stated above. Certification/Registration/Licensure
- None Skills or Special Abilities
- Must have a practical knowledge of electronics and electricity.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Must have an expert knowledge of digital telecommunications systems.
- Must be able to demonstrate expert knowledge of installation, testing, and calibration equipment for telecommunications systems, terminals, modems, and associated equipment.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skill to operate a computer using word processing and telecommunications data management software.
- Must be able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
