We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team, where you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between deep user understanding and actionable organizational decisions. In this pivotal role, you will synthesize findings from diverse UX research studies across the entire development lifecycle - from discovery to validation. Your ability to translate these insights into powerful frameworks, visuals, and narratives, including comprehensive customer journeys, personas, infographics, and service blueprints, will drive new thinking and inform critical decisions for brand teams, omnichannel experts, product owners, and digital leads. Your work will directly enhance digital experiences, services, and ultimately contribute to improved health outcomes for patients and healthcare professionals.
  • What You'll Do:
  • Lead Transformative Research:
  • Spearhead discovery and explorative research studies to uncover unmet needs, behaviors, attitudes, and mental models among patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals, directly informing early-stage strategy and product development.
  • Refine Experiences:
  • Design and execute validation and evaluation research, including usability testing, concept testing, cognitive walkthroughs, and prototype feedback sessions, to rigorously assess and refine both digital and non-digital experiences.
  • Map User Journeys:
  • Develop comprehensive user journeys that illustrate end-to-end experiences across all touchpoints, identifying pain points, moments of delight, and opportunities for impactful intervention.
  • Craft Authentic Personas:
  • Build robust personas grounded in qualitative and quantitative data, ensuring they accurately reflect the diverse user populations we serve.
  • Manage Research Lifecycle:
  • Take ownership of the entire research lifecycle, from initial scoping and recruitment through facilitation, rigorous synthesis, and impactful delivery of findings.
  • Drive Collaboration:
  • Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders across product, marketing, medical affairs, digital, and commercial teams to define research needs and business priorities, ensuring that insights consistently drive decision-making.
  • Facilitate Insight Sharing:
  • Develop and lead engaging workshops and insight-sharing sessions, empowering product teams and stakeholders to internalize research findings and inspire concrete action.
  • Visualize Insights:
  • Transform complex research insights, reports, and frameworks into polished, visually compelling artifacts that communicate with exceptional clarity and impact.
  • Design Information Frameworks:
  • Create intuitive information frameworks that organize and communicate large, complex bodies of knowledge, making them accessible to non-research audiences.
  • Develop Visual Narratives:
  • Craft compelling visual narratives for presentations, workshops, and reports, bringing user insights to life for internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Standardize Visual Outputs:
  • Develop and evolve visual templates and systems for packaging research outputs, ensuring consistency and professionalism.
  • Enable Reuse:
  • Create clear instructions and guidelines to empower vendors and employees to effectively reuse developed templates and resources.
  • Must-Have Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Visual / Graphic Design, Information Science, Communication Design, User Research, Psychology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in UX research, with demonstrated expertise in both generative/discovery and evaluative research methods. Proven experience creating user journey maps and personas that have directly informed real product or service design decisions. A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to translate research findings into compelling visual frameworks and deliverables. Proficiency in industry-standard research tools. Proficiency in industry-standard design and visualization tools. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively to non-technical, cross-functional audiences. Experience working in or with regulated industries (such as healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or financial services) or with sensitive user populations.
  • Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
  • Experience conducting UX research within healthcare, life sciences, or other heavily regulated industries.
Familiarity with digital products, experiences, and services designed for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. Experience working with and managing external vendors or agency partners. Knowledge of data visualization principles. Background in service design or systems thinking. Experience planning and facilitating workshops. The target hiring compensation for this role is $65-75/hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
