Job Description:
•Must pass a drug test and background check once offered position• Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior UX/UI Designer to create intuitive, accessible, and user-centered digital experiences for enterprise research applications. This individual will partner closely with product owners, software engineers, business analysts, and research stakeholders to design solutions that improve usability, streamline complex workflows, and support data-driven decision making. Supporting two strategic initiatives, this role will lead the end-to-end user experience process-from user research and journey mapping through high-fidelity design and developer handoff. The ideal candidate combines strong UX research skills with exceptional visual design capabilities and thrives in Agile, cross-functional environments. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end UX design process across multiple enterprise applications, from discovery through implementation. Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, and usability testing to understand user needs and validate design decisions. Create user journeys, task flows, personas, workflows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes. Design high-fidelity user interfaces and detailed design specifications for engineering implementation. Partner closely with product owners, software engineers, business analysts, and research stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle. Establish and promote consistent design patterns, reusable components, and design system best practices across products. Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards (WCAG) and follow user-centered design principles. Present design concepts, rationale, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences. Balance user needs, technical feasibility, and business objectives while delivering elegant design solutions. Iterate on designs using qualitative user feedback, usability testing, and product analytics. Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional UX/UI design experience designing complex web applications or enterprise software. Strong portfolio demonstrating the complete UX process, including: User research Journey mapping Wireframing Prototyping Interaction design High-fidelity UI design Hands-on experience with Figma (or similar modern design tools) for wireframing, prototyping, and design systems. Experience conducting user interviews, usability testing, and incorporating findings into iterative design improvements. Strong understanding of user-centered design methodologies and accessibility standards (WCAG). Experience working within Agile product teams alongside product managers, developers, and business stakeholders. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain design decisions to diverse audiences . Preferred Qualifications Experience designing AI-powered applications, conversational interfaces, chat experiences, or agentic user experiences. Experience designing data-intensive applications, analytics platforms, or research-focused software. Experience within healthcare, life sciences, biomedical research, or other regulated industries. Experience building or contributing to enterprise design systems and reusable UI component libraries. Experience using analytics and user behavior data to drive design decisions. Basic understanding of generative AI concepts and human-AI interaction patterns. Nice to Have Experience with service design and workflow optimization. Knowledge of biomedical or clinical research workflows. Experience collaborating with geographically distributed or cross-functional enterprise teams. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to improve collaboration with front-end engineering teams (coding not required).
