As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products. As a Staff Interaction Designer on the Agentic Docs team, you will be responsible for defining the patterns of how AI agents research, orchestrate, and collaborate alongside humans. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and Research to identify new user behaviors and emerging patterns in autonomous productivity. You will be responsible for leading the design of experiences that help users move from a blank page to a finished project with the help of intelligent agents. You will ensure these agentic experiences in docs align and scale across Google Workspace, ensuring our users have a cohesive and connected experience no matter where they are working. Responsibilities Direct the UX goal for identifying areas of opportunity for agentic and autonomous document experiences, guiding a cross-functional, cross-product area team from early-stage research to global launch. Drive the development of user journeys, high-fidelity mocks, and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate complex agentic behaviors and clearly explain the rationale for design choices to leadership and cross-functional peers. Identify user needs and mental models for "AI as a collaborator," defining the end-to-end experience for Agentic Docs and ensuring these components integrate seamlessly into the broader Editors and Google Workspace ecosystem. Contribute to product strategy by staying ahead of market trends in LLMs and agentic workflows.
