UI/UX Designer Essential Skills Education:

Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience 3-5+ years of professional UX/UI design experience, ideally within a digital agency or e-commerce environment Strong proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite Experience with prototyping tools Portfolio demonstrating UX research methods, design process, and final deliverables for web and mobile products Understanding of responsive design principles and ability to design for multiple devices and screen sizes Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is sufficient to collaborate effectively with developers Excellent communication skills, able to clearly present design rationale and solutions to stakeholders Demonstrated ability to apply accessibility standards and inclusive design practices Experience developing and maintaining design systems, component libraries, and governance Develop web applications using mobile-first responsive design Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities Ability and willingness to learn new technologies Performs tasks with little supervision and is self-motivated and self-directed Preferred Skills Experience designing within agile or lean UX environments Experience designing B2C, B2B, and D2C e-commerce Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a composable commerce or SaaS environment Knowledge of analytics tools (Google Analytics, Hotjar) to inform data-driven design decisions Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with ability to adapt to changing priorities and technologies
