UX/CX Specialist - Mid

Job Description

We are seeking a Mid-Level UX/CX Specialist to support FEMA s user experience and service delivery efforts across cloud-hosted applications and digital services. This role focuses on user research, UX artifacts, and interaction design aligned with Section 508 and federal digital service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct user interviews, usability testing, and journey mapping. Develop wireframes, personas, and service blueprints. Support design of intuitive, accessible interfaces following FEMA and DHS standards. Collaborate with developers, PMs, and business analysts to translate research into actionable requirements. Ensure 508 compliance and accessibility best practices.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in a similar role. Proficiency with UX/UI tools (Figma, Adobe XD). Understanding of user research methods and human-centered design. Familiarity with CISA, DHS, and federal digital service guidelines. Education and Certification Requirements Bachelor's degree in Design, Communications, Marketing, or related field. Agile or UX certification preferred.
Clearance Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship Ability to obtain Public Trust. Active Public Trust is preferred. FEMA Public Trust is highly preferred.
