About Us LaserLand builds immersive laser tag missions, not the old walk-in-and-shoot version. Our sessions run an hour, with 3-4 different game modes connected by a single scenario, so it plays less like a series of matches and more like a story you move through. We have a deep catalog of modes: co-op missions, objective-based scenarios, strategy modes, and we keep adding more. Our Mission Viejo center is built around two things: those missions, and running genuinely great parties for kids, teens, and adults. That means the person running the room matters as much as the technology. A great Games Master turns a good mode into a great hour. The Role You're the host, the referee, and the energy in the room. You'll greet groups, explain how each mission works, run the session from the control station, keep the arena safe, and make sure a birthday party is the best two hours of that kid's month. Or that a bachelor party, work team, or group of adults leaves talking about it. Some of our guests have played before. Most haven't. Your job is to get an excited, distracted group to understand the rules in 90 seconds and then have the time of their lives.

Your Role Includes:

Hosting parties from arrival to goodbye: greeting the group, keeping the schedule on track, cake and party room timing, making sure the birthday kid feels like the main character Briefing groups on mission objectives and safety rules clearly and quickly, in a way that lands with a 9-year-old, a teenager, and a table of adults Running sessions from the control station: launching modes, tracking scores, adjusting on the fly when a group needs something different Learning our full catalog of missions and game modes well enough to explain any of them from memory, without notes Keeping the arena safe: spotting rule-breaking early, giving clear warnings, and staying calm when someone gets carried away Cleaning and resetting the arena, party rooms, and common areas between groups Maintaining and troubleshooting equipment: charging vests, checking gear, flagging what needs repair Reading the room and adjusting: a kids' party and an adult corporate group need completely different energy from you Working as part of a small team where everyone covers for everyone

What We're Looking For:

Genuinely comfortable with kids and teens, not just tolerant of them. You can hold the attention of 20 nine-year-olds and enjoy doing it Able to switch registers. The same shift might have a 7th birthday at 3pm and an adult group at 8pm High energy, and able to sustain it.

This is a physical job:

you're on your feet, moving, projecting your voice, for hours A good memory. We have a lot of game modes and we keep adding more. You'll need to know them cold Comfortable being the person in front of a group of 15-20 people A team player who notices what needs doing and does it, including the unglamorous parts. Someone has to wipe down the vests and mop up the spilled soda Calm and clear when enforcing safety rules, including with adults Reliable. Parties are booked in advance and families are counting on us Comfortable using a computer or tablet-based system to run sessions A love of games, whether video games, board games, or sports. If you already think about what makes a game fun, you'll be good at this You might be a good fit if you: Are the person who organizes game night and teaches everyone the rules Have worked with kids as a camp counselor, coach, tutor, babysitter, or youth group leader Have done theater, improv, cheer, or anything where you performed in front of people Have worked in a restaurant, retail, or another job where a rush comes and you handle it Are studying education, recreation, hospitality, or game design Just really like laser tag and want to be the person running it No formal experience is required. We'll train you on our systems, our missions, and our party flow. What we can't train is enthusiasm and comfort around people.
