Job Description

Lecturer in Game Design & Development Join Us in Shaping the Future of Games The College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security and Cybersecurity (CEHC) at the University at Albany is launching an exciting new chapter—and we're looking for a passionate, forward-thinking Lecturer in Game Design & Development (GDD) to help lead the way. As part of our growing Information Sciences & Technology Department, this role offers a unique opportunity to be a foundational voice in a vibrant, interdisciplinary program that blends creativity, technology, and innovation. We're not just teaching students how to make games—we're empowering them to explore how games can shape culture, solve problems, and drive change.
What You'll Do:
Teach a range of GDD courses, potentially including game programming, game art, game technology, UI/UX for games, game studies, the business of games, and more. Mentor and advise students, helping them grow as designers, developers, and thinkers. Contribute to the life of the program through service, co-curricular activities, and collaborative projects. Facilitate interdisciplinary research and client-based projects that bring real-world experience into the classroom. Why This Role is
