Job Description
Freelance Web & Graphic Designer — Local to Winter Garden/Orlando | $2,000+/Month We own three companies in the Winter Garden/Orlando area — Pet Garden (pet grooming salon), North American Transmission (auto/transmission repair shop), and Cape (an upcoming technical workwear brand for grooming, vet, and barbering professionals) — and we're looking for one freelance Web & Graphic Designer to handle visual and digital work across all three. This is a local, in-person-based role. We want someone based here who we can meet with, walk through projects with, and build a real working relationship with — not someone working from a different time zone or continent with no direct connection to the brands. We're also looking for someone who delivers. This isn't a flat monthly retainer where the check clears and nothing moves — we expect real output and follow-through every month, with clear communication if something's behind schedule. This starts as a freelance/contract role, with the potential to grow into a permanent position for the right person who proves out reliable, consistent results. What you'll do Design graphics for social media, promotions, email marketing, and advertising across all three brands Build and update content on Pet Garden's Shopify site Create product graphics, banners, and marketing assets for each company Help develop Cape's visual identity from the ground up as it prepares to launch Maintain each brand's distinct look and voice (Pet Garden's warm, editorial style; North American Transmission's dark industrial aesthetic; Cape's identity still taking shape) Suggest layout and visual improvements across our websites Communicate proactively on progress, timelines, and roadblocks What you bring Based in or near Winter Garden/Orlando, FL, and available for regular in-person collaboration Proven experience in web and graphic design, with a required portfolio Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator Shopify experience (required) A track record of finishing what you start — we're looking for consistent, visible output, not just availability A solid eye for branding, typography, and layout across multiple distinct brand identities Clear, reliable communication Compensation & Schedule Starting at $2,000/month, based on experience, scope, and the volume of work across all three companies. Freelance/contract to start, with room to move to a permanent role as the relationship proves out. Flexible schedule tied to project deadlines and regular local check-ins. To apply, send: Your resume Your portfolio (required — applications without one won't be considered) A short note on your Adobe and Shopify experience Confirmation that you're local to the Winter Garden/Orlando area If you're a local designer who wants steady, meaningful work building out three distinct brands — with the chance to grow into something permanent — and you take pride in actually delivering, we'd love to see your portfolio.
