The Successful Applicant Strong backend engineering experience with Java 21+, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and object-oriented design. Proven ability to build scalable, resilient enterprise applications, leveraging event-driven architectures and Kafka. Experience developing and integrating backend services using API integrations, caching strategies, data access layers, and well-defined service boundaries. Solid software engineering fundamentals, including JUnit, Maven, GitLab, CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, monitoring, and observability. Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, containerized environments, deployment automation, and production support within large-scale enterprise environments. Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across product, architecture, UI, DevOps, and distributed engineering teams.
