$50,000
  • $55,000 The Office of Graduate Studies (OGS) seeks a Web Content Administrator responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining web and digital communications for the unit.
The role oversees website content, media design, social media coordination, and Electronic Thesis and Dissertation (ETD) processes. The Office of Graduate Studies includes approximately 18 administrative and staff members who support graduate and postdoctoral education. The unit collaborates with administrators, faculty, students, and staff to advance the University's mission. The Web Content Administrator develops, edits, and maintains digital and print communications for the Office of Graduate Studies (OGS), including website content, social media materials, Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETDs), event information, flyers, the annual report, and related media. Responsibilities include multimedia design, management of OGS social media channels, review of ETD submissions, event coordination, and the use of both standard and specialized software tools. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in communication, public relations, technical writing, digital media, information technology, or a related field, and two years of relevant professional experience; or a Master's degree in one of the fields listed above. Equivalent combinations of appropriate coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute for the required experience at a comparable rate.

Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree.

  • A public employer may include a postsecondary degree as a baseline requirement only as an alternative to the number of years of direct experience required, not to exceed:
  • (a) Two years of direct experience for an associate degree;
  • (b) Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
  • (c) Six years of direct experience for a master's degree;
  • (d) Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree; or
  • (e) Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree
  • Related work experience may not substitute for any required licensure, certification, or registration required for the position of employment as established by the public employer and indicated in the advertised description of the position of employment.
  • Minimum Qualifications that require a high school diploma are exempt from SB 1310.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher and at least two years of administrative experience in Higher Education, supporting a Director, Chair, Associate Dean, or similar leadership role. Experience with document formatting and manuscript editing, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and web design tools. Familiarity with web navigation systems or Banner is preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills, and experience working in Education, Higher Education, or supporting graduate students. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge of Canva, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, and other digital media editing tools. Experience with web design, content management systems (CMS), and visual communication principles. Background in event coordination, promotion, and planning. Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, with excellent writing and formatting abilities. Experience in social media copywriting, platform management, campaign development, and full cycle digital content production. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to create content for diverse audiences. Collaborative leadership style with experience guiding multi stakeholder initiatives. Strong project management abilities, capable of coordinating multiple projects simultaneously. Creative problem solving skills and strategic thinking. Self motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with strong initiative. Software and Technical Skills Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Workspace Knowledge of Canva, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, or other digital media editing software Possesses advanced writing, editing, and formatting abilities. Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experienced with web analytics platforms, including Google Analytics. Skilled in social media management tools and associated analytics systems. Familiar with bulk email marketing software and email campaign processes. Experienced in visual communication concepts and design principles. Knowledgeable in web design practices and content management systems. Demonstrated strong analytical and excellent project management capabilities. Media Design
  • Produces digital and print materials to support OGS initiatives and events. Creates the Graduate Student Newsletter, as well as graphics, videos, and presentations for in person and virtual programs. Ensures all content aligns with USF brand standards and is optimized for use across web, print, and social media platforms. Media Relations and Public Affairs
  • Serves as the primary media contact for the Office of Graduate Studies (OGS). Builds and maintains relationships with education reporters and supports coordinated media strategies that advance OGS initiatives and institutional priorities. Media Organization
  • Maintains an organized digital asset system for OGS, ensuring all creative files—including event media, photos, videos, and digital or print materials—are properly archived and easily accessible. Oversees consistent asset management practices to support departmental communications. Social Media Coordination
  • Manages OGS's social media presence across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter/X. Monitors performance metrics, oversees creative development, and stays informed on emerging trends. Plans, prepares, and schedules content in collaboration with OGS staff, promoting events, funding opportunities, student and alumni accomplishments, and USF achievements and news. Website Management
  • Oversees the daily maintenance and publishing of web content through Omni CMS to ensure accurate representation of OGS initiatives and events.
Reviews and updates pages, links, and materials to maintain consistency with USF branding in coordination with University Communications and Marketing (UCM). Supports the development of presentations and reports, including the Annual Report and ETD Workshop materials. Ensures content across all OGS-related pages is current, relevant, and inclusive of all USF campuses. Electronic Thesis and Dissertation (ETD) Support
  • Assists in administering semesterly ETD processes.
Updates and enhances ETD web pages and student instructions. Communicates with students and monitors progress through the ProQuest USF ETD submission system. Manages the database of student documents, reviews manuscript formatting, provides revision feedback, and approves final submissions.
