Company Description The District Standard is a new Sports Media Enterprise is Launching in the Washington DC metro area that aims to provide the best coverage of all of the local teams and leagues from prep sports to the professionals. Role Description The Webmaster role at the District Standard will is a pivotal role in our growth. This role is responsible for managing, updating, and maintaining the company's websites to ensure optimal performance, usability, and security. Day-to-day tasks include publishing new content and episodes, implementing web design updates, troubleshooting site issues, and coordinating with podcast producers to keep show pages accurate and engaging. The Webmaster will also monitor site analytics, support e-commerce integrations, manage plug-ins and platform updates, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve user experience. The role requires consistent onsite collaboration with the team to align web initiatives with overall brand and content strategies. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in Web Design and user experience principles to create clean, accessible, and responsive layouts. Hands-on experience with E-Commerce features, including payment integrations, subscription models, and product or merchandise pages. Solid Programming skills (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and common CMS platforms) for customizing themes, templates, and site functionality. Project Management capabilities to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and coordinate web-related initiatives with cross-functional teams. Ability to leverage Web Analytics tools to track performance, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for site improvements. Familiarity with SEO best practices, content management systems (such as WordPress or similar), and website security fundamentals. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively onsite. Relevant education or equivalent experience in web development, design, or digital media; experience in podcasting or digital entertainment is a plus.
