This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, managing digital systems, and collaborating across teams to create a seamless online experience for users. The Specialist will serve as a primary point of contact for website-related questions and technical issues, support staff with content publishing and account management, and coordinate closely with external website developers to implement improvements and resolve issues. The role also includes supporting Salesforce-related website integrations and helping ensure that the website remains accessible, high-performing, and user-friendly. The Specialist will ideally be located in New York City and available to work from the OATS office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Remote applicants will also be considered.
Role responsibilities:
Serve as primary POC for day-to-day user account and one-off issues reported by the Senior Planet contact center. Provide additional troubleshooting and facilitate conversations with the development team in order to get issues resolved. Reference Salesforces to resolve any account issues. Manage day-to-day website related questions from OATS program staff regarding issues like: program uploads, event publishing, and registration integration with Salesforce. Report on website performance, leveraging Google Analytics to track audience engagement, marketing campaign results, and key website metrics that inform strategic decision-making. Manage website content updates, page creation, and publishing within WordPress while maintaining a user-friendly experience. Assist in optimizing the website's user-facing and back end content libraries, including media file clean-up and legacy editorial categorization. Coordinate with external developers to address bugs, implement enhancements, and support ongoing website maintenance. Translate design concepts into responsive, user-friendly web pages. Monitor website functionality and performance, identifying opportunities for improvement. Help ensure the website follows accessibility, usability, and search engine optimization (SEO) best practices.
Requirements:
Experience working with WordPress website administration and content management. Experience with Salesforce, including user support and troubleshooting. Experience collaborating with website developers, technical vendors, or digital agencies. Experience building or maintaining responsive web pages from wireframes or design specifications. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
