Job Description

Onsite in Faribault, MN 55021 Weekend Shift-Friday, Saturday and Sunday 5am-5:30pm The Welder I is a skilled professional responsible for performing Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding on aluminum components. They play a critical role in the fabrication process, using their expertise to produce high-quality welds that meet engineering specifications and industry standards.
Job Requirements:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Must have experience in primarily TIG welding and MIG welding. Proficiency in TIG welding techniques, particularly on aluminum materials, to produce high-quality welds with minimal defects. Ability to read and interpret welding symbols, blueprints, and engineering drawings. Familiarity with different grades and types of aluminum and their corresponding welding requirements. Two years of experience working in a manufacturing environment. Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions. Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors. Weld small and large components such as steel tubing, aluminum, and stainless steel. Must be able to read, write and comprehend plant directives written in English.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma required, and technical secondary education is preferred. Perform simple mathematics to comprehend and interpret process sheets, SOP manuals, tally sheets, etc. and to keep accurate account of materials used during manufacturing process including scrap amounts. Physical strength sufficient to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on an intermittent basis Frequent lifting, standing, bending & reaching required Able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test Must adhere to all the PPE requirements to perform the job safely, this includes but is not limited to, Eye, Hand, Feet, and Hearing protection #indmnge
