Toddler Assistant Teacher

Next Steps Learning Center is seeking an Assistant teacher for our toddler classroom. We are seeking a DCYF Rule 3 qualified professional who must be energetic, compassionate and dedicated to ensure the daily care of every child. Candidates must be dependable, caring, and love to be around children. Candidate must have experience working with children. Additional hiring bonus available with this position! Duties will include, but not limited to the following:

• Teach or assist with meaningful lesson plans
• Provides an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages exploration
• Builds strong relationships and maintains frequent communication with families
• Collaborates with parents to achieve success for their children
• Uses expertise and knowledge to adhere to state licensing requirements
• Assures compliance with State adult/child ratios
• Assists with diapering and sleeping needs of children
• Assists with light cleaning and preparing the room for care Candidates must possess, but not limited to the following:
• Meet state licensing requirements for education, experience and age
• Previous work experience in a licensed child care facility preferred
• First aide, CPR , SIDs and Shaken Baby certification is preferred when applying
• Candidate is gentle, loving and mature
• Desire to work with children and have a positive impact
• Ability to lift, bend, and sit on the floor Qualified candidates must submit resume and salary requirements.
