SUMMARY
The Tool Crib Attendant shall be responsible for assisting in maintaining the parts/tool crib within the manufacturing facility. The Tool Crib Attendant will issue parts and tools to production workers and maintenance personnel daily and assist management with receiving items, restocking items, and cycle counting, and always keep the Tool Crib neat and orderly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Works well with other team members. Ability to efficiently organize and manage tools, equipment, and supplies. Basic understanding of various tools and equipment used in the manufacturing plant. Work collaboratively with production teams to support their tool and equipment needs. Proactively seeks solutions to improve tool crib operations and inventory management. Maintain adequate records for withdrawals of tools or parts Pays meticulous attention to detail when recording inventory, issuing tools, and performing inspections. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies Ensure that all tools, parts, and supplies are properly stored and accounted for Perform regular inventory audits Maintain records of usage, inventory, and repairs Ability to use computers Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form Distribute tools, equipment, and supplies to appropriate personnel Ensure accuracy of records Assist in maintaining a clean and organized tool crib Detail Oriented Organized Ability to follow instructions Other duties as assigned •Experience with SAP will be helpful for this role •Forklift experience preferred.QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING
High School Diploma or General Education (GED). Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, or to other co-workers. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. •Must be organized and detail-oriented, and have a high degree of integrity, initiative, and dependability.PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
