Your Summer Experience:
Get hands-on, 360-degree exposure to the aviation industry (essential functions):
Business & Strategy:
Dive into budgeting, capital planning, and real estate leasing.
Operations & Safety:
Master airfield safety, emergency planning, and construction protocols.
Tech & Comms:
Revamp our website, manage social media, and update the aircraft census.
Airport Navigation:
Learn aviation radio, airfield driving, and maintenance (mowing, lighting, and hangars).
Community:
Lead marketing efforts and help coordinate large airport events. Part 139 Operations (related to 14 CFR Part 139): Including Wildlife Operations, ARFF, Aviation Communications, Inspections, Safety procedures, Record keeping, etc.
Networking:
Work directly with the Airport Administration and Airport staff. Communicate with pilots, tenants, and community members. Other Duties as
Assigned:
Adaptability is key; other tasks may be assigned.
Who We're Looking For:
Essential Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED. Current enrollment in an Airport/Aviation Management degree program. Valid driver's license with a clean record. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite applications. Must work outside on hot summer days around loud machinery and moving mechanical parts. Bartholomew County or adjoining county residency after six months of employment; immediate proximity close enough to arrive on time from work, regardless of weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
FBO (Fixed Base Operator) line service, customer service, flight training, or airport management experience.
