Job Description

Job Summary:

Hourly Supervisors provide front line shift supervision to the hourly Airport Customer Experience Specialists (ACES) and shuttle drivers. Responsible for ensuring compliance with all Block by Block and PANYNJ standards, best practices, procedures, and policies and for holding the ACES responsible for completing daily customer service responsibilities.

Essential Functions:
Front Line Leadership:

Responsible for managing shift duties of the ACES program while ensuring compliance with all Block by Block and PANYNJ standards, best practices, procedures, and policies. Responsible for being fair and holding the ACES responsible for completing daily customer service responsibilities. Responsible for communicating and leading daily shift briefings to the ACES while assigning duties, assignments, training, reviewing events, weather, and safety updates to ACES. Providing excellent customer service in the airport and towards the team of Ambassadors. Provide guidance and direction for airport customer service operations.

Reporting:

Must be able to provide written reports of end of shift and next shift hand-off and provide a basic daily report of accomplishments and customer tasks completed. Must be able to provide direction and counsel to team members and report concerns to the Airport Assistant Manager.

Must maintain a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and overall Block by Block and PANYNJ standards of expected professionalism. Must be able to drive shuttles if drivers are unavailable. Other duties as assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Requirements:

Must have at least one year experience in hospitality or customer service.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Must have High School Diploma or GED.

Must have a valid Driver's License and pass a motor vehicle record check.

Physical Requirements:

Must have the physical capacity to traverse continuously during an eight-hour shift or ten-hour shift with normal breaks and meal break. Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions with provided inclement weather gear. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more when needed. Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language in order to create basic reports and communicate with travelers and staff. Must have basic knowledge of smartphone technology. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, and to use hands and fingers to handle, finger, and steer. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus. Must have the physical capacity to sit and drive vehicle continuously during an eight-hour shift, with normal breaks.
