Job Description

Job Overview Join our team as a Part-Time Licensed CDL School Bus Driver and help safely transport students, staff, and authorized passengers to and from school and school-related activities. This position is ideal for a dependable, safety-focused driver who takes pride in providing reliable and professional transportation services.
Requirements:
Candidates must be at least 21 years old and have a valid Arizona driver's license, a current CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements , and an acceptable driving record. Candidates must also meet applicable Arizona DOT requirements and successfully complete a pre-employment health screening, drug test, fingerprint clearance/background check, and any other required screenings. This is a part-time position with flexible hours and an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to students and the community. Job duties and requirements are subject to change based on operational and regulatory needs. Responsibilities Safely operate school buses and transit vehicles in accordance with all state and local transportation safety regulations Transport students, staff, and authorized passengers along designated routes, ensuring timely arrivals and departures Assist passengers with wheelchair access and provide necessary wheelchair assistance to ensure comfort and safety Follow emergency response procedures for transportation incidents, including emergency stop procedures and vehicle codes Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, school staff, and passengers using effective communication skills Enforce student discipline policies while managing behavior to promote a safe environment onboard Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning of brakes, lights, signals, and safety equipment Respond quickly to traffic changes or road hazards by adapting driving strategies while prioritizing passenger safety Complete accurate logs of trips, incidents, and vehicle maintenance reports as required by company policies Experience Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate school bus endorsement (or willingness to obtain endorsement) Proven experience driving school buses or transit vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and safety regulations Knowledge of transportation safety regulations, vehicle codes, and emergency response procedures for transportation Experience working with children or in educational settings is highly preferred Familiarity with passenger safety protocols, behavior management techniques, and student discipline strategies Ability to lift heavy objects safely when assisting with wheelchair or luggage handling Multilingual skills are a plus for effective communication with diverse passenger groups Join us in delivering safe, reliable transportation that makes a difference every day!
