Full Job Description Position Overview:
The Motor Coach Operator operates a 46 passenger bus.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Picking passengers up at assigned location without delay. Complete a pre/post trip bus inspection for each shift. Follow all traffics laws and regulations. Complete written reports as required. Follow your assigned route, making designated stops as required. Assists passengers with luggage as needed Always ensure safety of the passengers, surrounding vehicles, as well as pedestrians and bicyclists while operating the vehicle. Make sure you have the proper and clean attire. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
Commercial Driver?s License Class A or Class B Passenger endorsement Airbrakes endorsement SPAB or School Bus certificate a plus Minimum 2 years driving charter bus Ability to pass pre-employment criminal background with no felony, DWI/DUI, controlled substance arrests or convictions; pre-employment drug screen; DOT physical and MVR check Must be able to successfully utilize GPS and electronic hours of service tracking technology Must be able to drive and work outside in all kinds of weather Ability to communicate by telephone, two-way radio and in person clearly Excellent customer service skills Must speak fluent English is a courteous, friendly and professional manner with supervisors, managers, customers, guests, co-workers and all other persons.
Physical Qualifications:
Must be willing and physically fit to be able to lift and move baggage (up to 75 lbs), maneuver up and down stairs, repeatedly bend, kneel and stretch. Must be able to remain stationary (sitting) for long, extended periods of time
