Part Time About the Position Army and Navy Academy in Carlsbad, CA is seeking responsible and qualified applicants for a part time Substitute Driver position to transport students to and from airport, medical appointments, athletic events, and other off-campus activities. Our cadets are great young men who are active in sports and recreational events and require safe, dependable transportation. Examples of Duties Transport students to athletic and medical events, as well as airport, train, and bus stations, ensuring on-time arrival and departure. Provide scheduled and emergency transportation for students and staff to various medical facilities, including acting as chaperone during medical runs. Report hours worked to the Transportation Manager for billing purposes. Adjust scheduling and routes based on traffic, construction, and weather conditions. Perform other related duties as required. Qualifications Valid California Class B or A driver's license with passenger and school bus endorsements. California School Bus Driver Certificate. DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Demonstrated ability to drive safely and responsibly. Flexibility to work after school hours and weekends as needed. Additional Information This is a part-time substitute position supporting the Transportation Department, with assignments based on Academy needs, including after-school and weekend events. The position is not eligible for employer-sponsored benefits, except as required by law. Employees may enjoy complimentary meals in the mess hall when scheduled to work during meal periods. Offers are conditional upon passing pre-employment testing, including TB assessment, drug testing, and fingerprinting. Position(s) open NOW. Pay is commensurate with experience.
