JOB DESCRIPTION

Seasonal, full-time, or part-timeREPORTS TO
Driver SupervisorNATURE OF WORK
Responsible for safe transport and friendly assistance of passengers as bus driver in fixed route and demand response service.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Safely perform all duties. Drive various passenger vehicles. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including required paperwork. Maintain ridership counts. Follow prescribed routes and schedules. Assist passengers with route and area information. Comply with Substance Abuse policy and other Personnel Practices. Perform as part of Mountain Express Team.OTHER DUTIES
Keep Supervisor and office informed of hazardous or unusual road conditions and situations. Assist with passenger loading procedures. Assist with snow removal when necessary.KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITIES
General knowledge of all vehicles used. General knowledge of the area. Participation in Mountain Express orientation, including safety and operations, ADA training, and substance abuse awareness orientation.MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT USED
Various passenger vehicles including small, mid-sized, and full-sized transit buses, and passenger cars and trucks. Fueling station. Fluids filling apparatus.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, FORMAL TRAINING
If not already held, this position requires attainment of Colorado Commercial Driver's License, Class BP-2 with no air brake restriction. License/training and associated fees are covered in full by Mountain Express. CPR and Basic First Aid recommended.Applications can be found here:
