Colorado Academy seeks candidates for a School Bus Driver position. The School Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, field trips, late bus routes and other school-related activities. This position requires a commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Safety:

Operate the school bus in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre and post trip inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition. Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment. Supervise student behavior on the bus and implement appropriate disciplinary measures.

Transportation:

Transport students to and from school, field trips, and other school-related activities according to established routes and schedules. Ensure that all students are properly seated and secured before driving. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.

Compliance:

Comply with all state and federal regulations pertaining to school bus operations. Attend required training and professional development sessions.

Qualifications:

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with both "P" and "S" endorsement Clean driving record. Ability to pass a physical examination and drug test. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Positive and professional attitude.

Working Conditions:

Work hours may vary, including early mornings, evenings and weekends. Exposure to varying weather conditions. Frequent interaction with children and parents.

Physical Demands:

Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects. Ability to stand and walk frequently. Ability to bend, kneel, and reach.
