Job Overview We are seeking energetic and responsible School Bus Drivers to join our team! In this vital role, you will ensure the safe and timely transportation of students to and from school, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Your positive attitude and commitment to passenger safety will help create a secure environment for students while promoting excellent customer service. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students' daily lives. Responsibilities Safely operate school buses and school vehicles, including paratransit and wheelchair-assisted buses, following all traffic laws and vehicle codes. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness before each route. Transport students along designated routes, ensuring punctuality and adherence to schedules. Maintain discipline and manage student behavior in accordance with school policies while fostering a positive environment. Respond quickly to traffic changes or emergencies using emergency response procedures for transportation. Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and dispatchers using clear language and professional demeanor. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for school bus operation. S and P endorsements Proven experience in bus driving or commercial driving preferred; experience working with children is a plus. Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, and transportation safety regulations. Strong communication skills with the ability to manage student discipline effectively. Familiarity with emergency stop procedures, vehicle maintenance basics, and behavior management techniques.
