Bus Driver

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing safe and reliable transportation while delivering excellent customer service. This role involves operating various types of buses, including motor coaches, school buses, and paratransit vehicles, ensuring the comfort and safety of all passengers during their journey. Responsibilities Safely operate buses in accordance with traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and mechanical integrity. Maintain a clean and organized bus interior for passenger comfort. Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, providing exceptional customer service throughout the journey. Communicate effectively in English with passengers and dispatch regarding routes, schedules, and any issues that arise. Manage passenger behavior to ensure a safe and pleasant travel experience. Keep accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport. Collaborate with team members to address any operational challenges or improvements. Experience Previous experience in commercial driving is preferred; experience as a delivery driver or school bus driver is a plus. Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for performing basic vehicle maintenance tasks. Strong customer service skills are essential for interacting positively with passengers. Familiarity with paratransit services is beneficial but not required. A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required for this position. Must be passenger endorsed.
