Duties Prepare a variety of meals using food safety sanitizing procedures, food handling best practices, and recipe adherence to ensure quality and consistency. Execute diverse cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and food production for high-volume meal service. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the culinary workspace. Assist with menu planning by contributing creative ideas and ensuring nutritional guidelines are met. Transport meals between kitchen facilities and designated delivery points while adhering to safety regulations and traffic laws. Maintain accurate records of food inventory, food safety management procedures, and delivery logs. Support dietary department needs by assisting with dietary accommodations, meal preparation, and catering events as required. Requirements Previous experience in food service, restaurant operations, or catering environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated culinary experience with skills in food preparation, knife handling, grilling, braising, poaching, and other cooking techniques. Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitizing procedures, and food handling regulations. Experience operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, mixers, and food production machinery. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a bus driver or in transportation roles is preferred. Dietary aide experience or dietary department background is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in high-volume production settings while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
