Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a professional and dependable Bus Driver to operate various types of buses, including school buses, shuttle buses, and motor coaches. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe and efficient transportation of passengers while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a valid driver's license, strong communication skills, and a focus on safety and reliability. Candidates with experience in commercial driving, paratransit, or limousine services are encouraged to apply. The Bus Driver will play a vital role in maintaining smooth transit operations and ensuring passenger satisfaction. Responsibilities Safely operate buses for daily routes, including school bus driving, shuttle driving, and paratransit services Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance needs are addressed Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operation Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, fare collection, and answering questions Maintain communication with dispatchers and team members using onboard communication devices Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly Ensure passenger safety at all times by enforcing safety rules and managing passenger behavior effectively Assist with vehicle cleaning and minor maintenance tasks as needed Skills Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; appropriate endorsements for commercial or passenger vehicles preferred Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues Experience in bus driving, including school bus driving, motor coach operation, shuttle driving, or limousine services is highly desirable Strong communication skills in English for effective interaction with passengers and team members Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to handle diverse passenger needs professionally Knowledge of transportation regulations related to commercial driving and passenger safety Delivery driver experience is a plus for roles involving logistics or parcel delivery within transit operations Ability to operate various types of transit vehicles safely and efficiently under different conditions Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, reliability, and punctuality
