VCA's mission is to train the minds and improve the hearts of students through a classical, content-rich curriculum that emphasizes virtuous living, traditional learning, and civic responsibility. Duties Drive morning and afternoon bus route. Maintain accurate records related to routes, ridership, driver certifications, and incidents. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and ensure all drivers follow required procedures Monitor student behavior on buses and support drivers in maintaining a safe, orderly environment. Support the mission of the school by upholding its virtues and fostering an environment of professionalism and decorum. For candidates wanting a full time, benefited position - In addition to driving duties, 20 hours per week of custodial or other school support duties will be required. Skills High school diploma or GED. Hold Class B with P, S, and Air Brake endorsements. Have a clean driving record. Pass a drug and alcohol test, criminal background check, and DOT physical examination. Be willing to attend and satisfactorily complete at least 30 hours of training as required in the State Transportation Manual. Ability to use CB radio within the law of the FCC regulations. Strong work ethic and attention to detail. Willingness to support and uphold the mission and values of classical education.
