In this energetic role, you will operate large motor coaches, ensuring passengers reach their destinations efficiently while providing exceptional customer service. Your expertise in vehicle operation, adherence to safety regulations, and friendly communication will help create positive journeys for all travelers. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where safety, professionalism, and passenger satisfaction are top priorities. Responsibilities Safely operate motor coaches on city streets, highways, and designated routes while adhering to traffic laws and transportation safety regulations Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure mechanical integrity and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including those with special needs or mobility challenges Maintain clear communication with dispatch via two-way radios for route updates, traffic alerts, or emergencies Navigate efficiently using city street maps and GPS systems to ensure timely arrivals and departures Follow all safety protocols related to air brake systems, vehicle maintenance, and adverse weather driving conditions Provide excellent customer service by addressing passenger questions, ensuring comfort, and maintaining a friendly demeanor throughout the trip Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for passenger vehicles and air brake systems Proven experience in bus driving, shuttle driving, or limousine service with a focus on passenger safety and comfort Strong mechanical knowledge of motor coach systems and basic vehicle maintenance procedures Knowledge of traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations governing commercial driving Skilled in city street navigation and handling vehicle inspections with attention to detail Excellent communication skills for passenger assistance and driver-to-dispatch communication using two-way radios Ability to drive in adverse weather conditions safely while maintaining control of the vehicle Prior experience with paratransit services or school bus driving is a plus but not required Fluency in English is essential for effective communication with passengers and team members Embark on a rewarding career where your driving skills make a difference!
