Job Description
This position primarily provides transportation for student traveling to and from athletic events in the afternoons and evenings, as well as school field trips during the school day. This position does not involve regular morning or afternoon home-to-school student transportation routes. Position Responsibilities Safely operate a 44-passenger school bus while transporting students to and from athletic events, field trips, and other school activities. Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical or safety concerns prior to departure. Safely manage and supervise students while operating the bus. Maintain a clean and orderly interior of the bus at all times. Recognize and promptly report any required bus maintenance or repairs. Take the bus for scheduled maintenance, inspections, and service as needed. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with students, staff, coaches, parents, and other members of the school community. Maintain accurate transportation records and communicate any transportation-related concerns to school administration. Ensure students are safely loaded, transported, and unloaded at designated locations. Perform other transportation-related duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older. Must hold a current CDL with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements. Must possess a valid School Bus Driver Permit. Must have an exceptional driving record and demonstrate safe driving habits. Ability to safely operate a 44-passenger school bus while effectively managing student passengers. Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm and professional in various situations. Dependable, punctual, and flexible with afternoon, evening, and occasional weekend transportation needs. Strong commitment to student safety and maintaining a professional environment.
