Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Bus Driver or Retired Bus Driver to join our team. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers, including children to and from Marshfield Elementary Schools to the Club; M-F 2 hours (Approximately 3PM to 5PM) each afternoon when school is in session. Potential for more hours to service field trips and summer camp. Competitive Pay! $35
- 40/hour Duties
- Safely operate a bus, van, or other vehicle to transport passengers as required
- Monitor and control the movement of passengers, ensuring their safety at all times
- Follow all safety and traffic regulations, including speed limits and lane usage
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or issues passengers may have
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle, including regular checks of tires, brakes, and other critical systems
- Communicate effectively with passengers, including verbal and written communication
- Adapt to changing circumstances, such as inclement weather or road closures
- Maintain records of trips, including passenger counts and any issues that may have arisen during travel
- Participate in pre
- and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is safe and roadworthy
- Develop a rapport with passengers, including those with special needs, to ensure their comfort and safety
- Provide assistance to passengers as needed, including helping them with luggage or providing wheelchair access Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with the necessary endorsements
- Experience driving a bus or similar vehicle
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish
- Ability to write reports and maintain accurate records
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety protocols
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Ability to pass a background check
