Jun 8, 2026 Job Description This position is for an am and pm to/from school bus route. Approximately 4.00 hrs/day, Monday through Thursday June 8•July 9, 2026. School hours are 8:00am•11:30am. Prefer someone with a SB and Passenger Endorsement.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for operating a school bus and transporting school-aged children and other authorized personnel safely and efficiently over specified routes to and from schools and various activities. Conducts pre-trip inspections; observes safety regulations and policies; enforces student discipline on the bus.

WORK REQUIREMENTS AND CHARACTERISTICS

Education/Certification/Licensure:

High School Diploma or equivalent Valid Minnesota driver's license (Class D) and acceptable driving record for insurability by the District's insurance carrier, and to meet state requirements Ability to obtain a Commercial Drivers License with a school bus and passenger endorsement Ability to pass a federally mandated drug/alcohol screen Successful completion of the school driver training programs and courses established by the state and/or school district Applicant must have a good driving record, be able to pass a drug and alcohol test, and pass a background check. Applicant must also be dependable with a good work ethic. Training will be provided to acquire a school bus drivers license. New Prague Area Schools is a consistently growing district of 4,100 students, Pre K through 12. The district is located about 45 miles southwest of the Twin Cities. The district serves the students and community members of the New Prague, Elko New Market, Lonsdale area, as well as several other communities. The district offers a small-town quality of life with easy access to the conveniences of a major metropolitan area.
