I also need the driver to bring an aide who they are comfortable conducting routes with. Duties Safely operate school buses along designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Ensure the safety and well-being of students during transit, including proper supervision and behavior management. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of routes, student counts, and any incidents or delays. Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and students as needed. Follow established schedules strictly to ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of students. Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately to the appropriate personnel. Comply with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations, including possessing the necessary endorsements. Skills Must have S and P endorsements on your CDL license.
