As a Motor Coach Driver, you will safely operate commercial motor coaches and passenger buses on scheduled routes, including local, regional, city, highway, and long-distance routes. The ideal candidate has experience operating motor coaches, charter buses, transit buses, school buses, or other commercial passenger vehicles and is committed to passenger safety, dependable service, professionalism, and excellent customer service. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced commercial drivers as well as qualified CDL Bus Drivers, Coach Bus Drivers, Charter Bus Drivers, Transit Bus Drivers, School Bus Drivers, Shuttle Bus Drivers, and Professional Drivers looking to advance their careers in passenger transportation. Key Responsibilities Safely operate motor coaches, charter buses, and other commercial passenger vehicles on scheduled routes. Transport passengers safely, professionally, and efficiently while following established routes and schedules. Comply with all applicable DOT, FMCSA, state, local, and company safety regulations and policies . Follow all traffic laws and maintain safe driving practices at all times. Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with applicable regulations and company procedures. Inspect critical vehicle systems and components, including air brakes, tires, lights, mirrors, fluids, emergency equipment, and safety systems . Report mechanical problems, vehicle defects, safety concerns, accidents, incidents, and maintenance issues promptly. Maintain required DOT driver logs, hours-of-service records, inspection reports, mileage records, trip reports, and incident documentation . Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, maintenance personnel, passengers, and fellow drivers . Use two-way radios, mobile communication systems, or other company-approved communication equipment as required. Navigate safely through city streets, highways, unfamiliar routes, construction zones, heavy traffic, and changing road conditions . Operate safely in varying weather and road conditions, including rain, snow, ice, wind, and reduced visibility when required. Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle. Provide appropriate assistance to passengers with mobility challenges, disabilities, special needs, luggage, and other reasonable passenger-support needs . Maintain a clean, orderly, and professional passenger environment. Provide courteous, professional, and responsive customer service throughout every trip. Answer passenger questions and provide information regarding routes, schedules, stops, destinations, and travel procedures. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the company. Follow company procedures for emergencies, evacuations, accidents, passenger incidents, and other unexpected situations. Arrive on time and maintain dependable attendance according to assigned schedules. Perform other transportation and passenger-service duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) appropriate for operating commercial passenger vehicles. Appropriate Passenger (P) endorsement as required. Air Brake qualification/endorsement , when required by applicable law and vehicle type. Safe driving record consistent with company and regulatory requirements. Ability to safely operate a large commercial passenger vehicle. Ability to pass applicable
DOT/FMCSA
physical, medical, drug and alcohol testing, background, and motor vehicle record requirements , as applicable to the position. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with passengers, dispatchers, supervisors, and coworkers. Ability to read and understand schedules, route information, safety procedures, company policies, and required transportation documentation. Ability to perform required vehicle inspections and identify or report potential mechanical or safety issues. Ability to work independently while following established safety procedures and operational instructions. Ability to provide professional and courteous passenger service. Preferred Qualifications Previous motor coach, charter bus, tour bus, transit bus, school bus, shuttle bus, or passenger transportation experience . Commercial driving experience. Experience operating vehicles equipped with air brakes . Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations . Knowledge of hours-of-service (HOS) requirements and electronic logging systems. Experience with pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Experience working with dispatch systems, GPS, or electronic driver applications. Experience providing passenger assistance or customer service. Experience driving in urban, highway, regional, or long-distance environments. Experience operating commercial vehicles in adverse weather and challenging traffic conditions.
Pay:
$29.40 - $32.48 per hour
