TITLE:
Bus Driver
II SALARY
As per CSEA Contract ($22.16 - $28.40 per hour)

DUTIES:
Operate a school bus and perform safety checks and minor maintenance tasks in Connection with such operations. Considerable responsibility for the safety of passengers carried on regularly scheduled trips; maintain a clean bus; attend meetings and classes as required; provide students with training; and perform related work as required. Good knowledge of the operation of a bus; good knowledge of safety practices, traffic laws, and regulations; ability to follow detailed oral and written directions; ability to relate to the public in a positive manner and handle sensitive human problems; mechanical aptitude; dependability, good judgment, and physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS
Five (5) years of experience in operation of a motor vehicle. Must possess at the time of appointment, a valid motor vehicle operators' license equivalent to NYS Class D Operator's license. And possession of a valid NYS Class A or B CLD with P and S endorsements within six (6) months after appointment. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, and must complete training requirements specified by NYSED pursuant to 8NYCRR Education al Part 156.
