Part-Time Afternoon Bus Driver - Childcare/School Transportation Arches Oak Hills is looking for a dependable, safety-minded Part-Time Bus Driver to join our team! This is a great position for someone looking for a short, consistent afternoon schedule while being part of a friendly childcare and preschool environment. Schedule Monday-Friday 2:30 PM-4:00 PM Additional hours available in before an after school as a teacher Responsibilities Drive an Arches 14-passenger bus for afternoon school pickup routes. Pick up students from St. Jude, Springmyer Elementary, and Oakdale Elementary and safely transport them back to Arches. Plan and follow efficient daily routes to ensure timely pickups. Maintain accurate attendance and complete required safety checks. Follow all applicable Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) childcare transportation and safety requirements . Complete required ODJFS and Arches training. Ensure children are safely supervised and follow transportation rules while on the bus. Perform required child/accountability checks before, during, and after routes. Keep buses clean, organized, and ready for daily use. Report any vehicle, safety, or behavioral concerns to Arches administration. Maintain a professional, friendly relationship with children, families, school staff, and the Arches team. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a safe driving record. Must meet all applicable ODJFS requirements for employees transporting children. Must be willing to complete required training. Dependable and punctual — our students rely on our drivers being on time each day. Comfortable driving a 14-passenger vehicle. Friendly, patient, responsible, and safety-conscious. Able to confidently manage a small group of children while maintaining a safe driving environment. Previous experience driving a passenger van/bus or working with children is a plus, but not required. No CDL Required Our buses accommodate 14 passengers , so a CDL is not required for this position.
