Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for the safe transportation of students to and from our centers. Perform safe daily operation of school bus to transport students to and from centers according to an agency-established route. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations. Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections in accordance with state laws. Ensure safety and emergency procedures are followed, including conducting routine evacuation drills. Perform daily housekeeping to maintain a clean interior free from clutter and debris. This includes sweeping the floor, throwing away trash left on the bus, and cleaning the windows/windshield and exterior lights. Ensure student safety at all times. Positively promote safety to students in a kind, courteous, and educational manner.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent Valid CDL Class B license with S and P Endorsements, which must be carried at all times while operating a bus owned by Child Development Centers, Inc. Must be eligible as an insured motorist on all company motor vehicle policies and coverages Must possess or obtain required state and federal background clearances Driver must carry a copy of current PA School Bus Driver Physical Examination Certificate at all times while operating a bus owned by Child Development Centers, Inc.
