Job Description

We are looking for an experienced CDL Bus Driver for the 2025-2026 school year! A Bus Driver is responsible for the safe operation of the bus and overseeing and ensuring the safety of the children while driving the bus in a professional manner. Bus Drivers shall transport students and faculty to and from designated stops and to special events, i.e. field trips. Bus Drivers may fulfill other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
REQUIREMENTS CDL
with Passenger/School Bus Endorsement (reviewed semiannually) Two years of experience Criminal and background check and child abuse clearance Able to physically perform the job functions (Physical examination required) Unblemished driving record Ability to lift up to 60lbs. Ability to communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents Ability to assist with training
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Pick up and drop off children daily Working with the Bus Monitor to ensure each child is signed on and off the bus at their designated stop or center Complete pre and post trip inspection forms which include but are not limited to- check oil, wiper fluid, brake fluid, lights, etc. Comply with all safety requirements Report incidents/accidents immediately Conduct required safety drills and provide documentation Work with the Bus Monitor to maintain a clean environment Respects the confidentiality of children, families, and staff at all times Provides expertise on bus routing Facilitating the children during the bus evacuation drill All other duties as assigned
Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
