Starting Salary:

$15.25 per hour

Work Schedule:

174 calendar days / 6 hours per day

Training Requirement:

Attached Primary Purpose:

Operate school bus and related equipment to provide safe and orderly transportation of students and other authorized persons on assigned route, to, and from other designated locations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have a clear and valid Texas Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements. Must have a safe driving history. Must be able to pass a U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and required alcohol and drug testing. Must successfully complete the required background qualification process. Must complete all required bus driver safety training within 60 days.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to use maps and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) to follow routes and locate addresses. Ability to manage student behavior effectively. Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and others. Ability to safely operate a school bus and related equipment. Benefits 5 Local leave days + 5 State leave days.
