In this energetic role, you will operate large motor coaches, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring adherence to all transportation safety regulations. Your expertise in city street navigation, vehicle inspections, and passenger assistance will help us create memorable journeys for our clients. Duties Safely operate charter buses, and shuttle vehicles on city streets, highways, and adverse weather conditions while adhering to traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Conduct thorough pre-trip vehicle inspections, including checking air brakes, mechanical systems, and safety equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with transportation safety standards Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, disembarking, and accommodating special needs or passenger assistance requests Use two-way radios for driver communication to coordinate routes, report issues, or receive instructions efficiently Navigate complex routes using city street maps and GPS systems while maintaining awareness of traffic conditions and ensuring timely arrivals Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform minor maintenance tasks or report mechanical issues promptly to ensure safety and reliability Follow all state transportation regulations and safety protocols during driving operations to uphold passenger safety at all times Qualifications Valid Class A or B CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with at least P Endorsement Proven experience driving motor coaches, school buses, or shuttle vehicles with a clean driving record Strong mechanical knowledge of bus systems, vehicle inspections, and basic maintenance procedures Knowledge of traffic laws, transportation safety regulations, and defensive driving techniques Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with passengers and dispatch teams Ability to operate two-way radios confidently in a fast-paced environment Experience driving in adverse weather conditions or challenging city street navigation preferred Prior delivery driver experience or driver background is advantageous but not required Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed Ability to pass DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing and DOT Physical Embark on a rewarding career where your driving skills make a tangible impact!
