The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing safe and reliable transportation for children and seniors, ensuring a positive experience for all passengers. This role requires excellent communication skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to manage behavior effectively while educating passengers about proper conduct during transit. Duties Safely operate a school bus or van, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Ensure the safety of passengers by conducting pre-trip inspections and maintaining the vehicle in good working condition. Communicate clearly with students, parents, and staff regarding schedules, routes, and any changes. Manage behavior on the bus by implementing appropriate behavior management techniques. Assist children in boarding and exiting the vehicle safely, ensuring that their needs are met during transit. Provide exceptional customer service to all passengers, addressing any concerns or questions they may have. Educate passengers on safety protocols and proper conduct while on the bus or van. Maintain accurate records of routes, passenger counts, and incidents as required. Experience Previous experience in school bus driving or as a van driver is preferred. Experience working with children or in senior care settings is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English. Familiarity with behavior management techniques is a plus. A valid driver's license (DL) is required for this position.
