Job Description

The School District of Spring Valley is seeking a driver for the regular morning and after school bus route. This is a part-time position Monday-Friday for a total of 4 hours per day on student days. Extracurricular driving opportunities are also available.
Regular Bus Routes:
Hourly Rate:
$34.16 per hour. Snow Days /
Cancellations:
If school is canceled, you will still get paid your normal scheduled hours for the first two days missed.
Overtime:
You are eligible for overtime pay if you work more than 40 hours in a single week. Additional Trips (Field Trips, Sports, & Weekends)
Hourly Rate:
$22.57 per hour. If an extracurricular trip causes you to miss your regular afternoon route, the first hour of that trip will be paid at the regular route rate ($34.16/hr), and the remaining hours will be paid at the trip rate ($22.57/hr).
Qualifications:
Valid WisconsinCDL with both Passenger ("P") and School Bus ("S") endorsements. 18 years of age Meet requirements for school bus drivers as determined by the Department of Transportation CPR/First Aid Certification preferred
Primary Functions:
Perform a pre/post-trip inspection of the assigned vehicle. Keep the vehicle clean inside and outside, including all windows. Maintain an accurate schedule for picking up and dropping off students on route. Enforce all bus rider rules and regulations adopted by the Board of Education. Participate in bus evacuation drills as required by the Department of Transportation. Submit to drug and/or alcohol testing as required of CDL holders (Federal Omnibus Transportation Act).
